The film is a remake to the 1953 film of the same name.
Bo and his brother, Vincent, were conjoined twins separated at birth, during which process Vincent was horribly disfigured.
At the end, over the radio, the police discuss the Sinclair family had a third son. Since Lester was the one who driven the teens to the town earlier, it implies that he's the third son.
