Doctor Silberling was Anna's psychiatrist at Agnus Deli Community Hospital, an institution where she was institutionalized for ten months after her suicide attempts when her terminally ill mother died in a boathouse fire. Dr. Silberling was kind to Anna, advising her "finish things that she has started", however, he meant in a way for her to be productive and positive in going forward in her life, he had no idea she would kill Rachel and make her father a broken man for their affair.
After the incident, Dr. Silberling became one of the survivors of the Anti-Hunters' organization for unintentionally advising Anna to seek revenge against Rachel and her father as he was saved by Detective David Mills.
